Chicago Soldiers has been helping wounded Veterans since 2011 and is a 501(c)(3) approved charity.
We provide network and financial support to wounded Chicagoland Veterans. The financial support raised for our wounded/disabled Veterans is over $500,000 -- this is money that goes straight to Veterans! The annual golf outing will take place on August 24th.

HIS STORY: Air Force Captain Anthony Simone was a co-pilot of a helicopter on a mission to pick up wounded soldiers when it was shot down in Afghanistan.
Captain Simone was one of two survivors of the crash and sustained a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Captain Simone currently resides in Joliet, IL with his wife and two children.

HIS STORY: While on base, CPL Zmysly had an emergency appendectomy where a mistake was made during surgery and he now has an anoxic brain injury. He was in a coma for three (3) months and now faces many difficulties with daily living. Due to the Feres Doctrine, it makes it impossible for a service member to retrieve damages for medical malpractice.
Yuriy lives in Oak Lawn with his wife.

HIS STORY: SPC Lopez lost both legs from a roadside bomb in Iraq.
Sergio is a single father with two young daughters.

HIS STORY: Kyle was protecting our freedom fighting Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan and heroically he was injured twice on two different incidences. The second accident left Kyle badly hurt and cost him both his legs.
Kyle lives in Woodridge with his wife, Alex.

HIS STORY: Adam lost both of his legs above his knees by an Impoverished Explosive Device (IED) in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan.
